The coming week is set to be action packed on Dalal Street as seven companies line up to open their initial public offerings. Five of these will list on the mainboard while two will make their entry through the SME platform. The line up covers a wide range of industries including retail, renewable energy, shipping, electrical manufacturing, fragrance and essential oils, and even a multimedia production house. For investors, this presents a unique chance to evaluate fresh opportunities across different sectors.
Among the most anticipated listings is Patel Retail, a supermarket chain that has grown steadily since its modest beginning with a single store in Ambernath in 2008. Today the company runs forty three outlets across suburban Maharashtra under the brand Patel’s R Mart. Its upcoming offering is worth two hundred forty three crore rupees with a price range of two hundred thirty seven to two hundred fifty five per share. The proceeds will largely go toward debt reduction and working capital. The issue will remain open between August 19 and August 21, with shares expected to list on August 26.
Another major highlight is Vikram Solar. With an offering size of two thousand seventy nine crore rupees, it is one of the largest IPOs in the renewable energy space this year. Based in Kolkata, the company is already a major name in solar panels with a production capacity of 4.5 gigawatts. The funds raised will be used to expand further under its next phase of capacity building projects. The price range has been fixed between three hundred fifteen and three hundred thirty two rupees per share, and subscriptions will open on August 19.
Investors also have Gem Aromatics to consider, a Mumbai based company known for essential oils and aroma chemicals. The company plans to raise one hundred seventy five crore rupees to repay borrowings and enhance operations. With a price band of three hundred nine to three hundred twenty five rupees, the IPO includes both fresh shares and an offer for sale. Bidding will take place between August 19 and August 21.
The shipping sector will be represented by Shreeji Shipping Global, part of the Jamnagar based Shreeji Group. The company operates along India’s western coast with a focus on non major ports and coastal trade. Its IPO worth four hundred eleven crore rupees is a one hundred percent fresh issue, with proceeds earmarked for purchasing new dry bulk carriers. The subscription will open on August 19, and the listing is scheduled for August 26.
Mangal Electrical Industries will also be hitting the mainboard with a fresh issue valued at four hundred crore rupees. Priced between five hundred thirty three and five hundred sixty one per share, the subscription will open on August 20 and close on August 22. Shares are set to debut on both NSE and BSE on August 28.
On the SME side, Studio LSD, a multimedia production house, will be raising seventy crore rupees through the NSE Emerge platform. The subscription opens on August 18 and closes on August 20 with a price band of forty eight to fifty one rupees. Another SME entrant, LGT Business Connextions, is preparing to raise about twenty eight crore rupees. The issue is priced at a fixed rate of one hundred seven rupees per share and will remain open from August 19 to August 21.
The week will not just see subscriptions but also multiple listings. Bluestone Jewellery will list on August 19 followed by Regaal Resources on August 20. The SME segment will be busier with Medistep Healthcare, ANB Medical Cast, and Star Imaging and Path Lab listing on August 18. Icodex Publishing Solutions is scheduled for August 19, Mahendra Realtors and Infrastructure for August 20, Spunweb Nonwoven for August 22, and Monica Alcobev for August 23.
For investors, the week ahead offers a rare combination of large scale issues and niche opportunities. The diversity of sectors from retail and renewable energy to shipping and entertainment makes it one of the most varied line ups in recent memory. The choices will demand careful evaluation of fundamentals, valuations, and long term potential.
